(1) Visit some scientific websites (see the jinan.twohandsapproach.org/index.html page for some newsfeeds). Print out the first two pages of each article (font size about size 12). Pick one article, and make a point outline for it - a bit like this:
-major point
   -minor point - ...
   -minor point - ...
-...
 Also, make a summary outline using sentences for this second article. This is similar to the point outline, except you must use full sentences.

(2) Go to the http://lib.jnu.edu.cn website, log in, and find and read a scholarly article related to your current research interests. You can also go to another scholarly website that has journals in your field. Make a point outline for the article, using separate levels for main points and secondary points and supportive details.
